3 Key Principles For Setting Up An Efficient Office
posted on April 16th, 2010 by Robyn Pearce
Does the set up of your office maximise productivity and effectiveness? We all know the obvious storage solutions for most offices includes desks, shelves, bookshelves, cupboards and filing cabinets – but there are a few things to watch out for, and some traps for unwary players. 3 key principles to get you started are:
- Place your constantly used items within arm’s reach from your workstation. Your closest space is your most precious commodity.
- Place your least used things the furthest away in the room (or out of the room altogether).
- Create flexible storage. The only certain thing in life is change. Tomorrow’s office needs will be different from today’s.
In response to a number of requests for more in-depth guidance on winning the paper war I will be running a 3-part webinar training series in May. This interactive course will get into the nitty gritty of gaining control of your desk, office and inbox. You can find out more on the series by emailing my project manager, Sanchia at sanchia@gettingagrip.com.
You can also find a great range of products that will help you more effectively manage your time and life at http://www.gettingagrip.com/products/index.asp. Enjoy!
